THE NAIL BAKERY

How do you replicate a nail salon’s distinctive experience for the customer at home?

We delivered a unique, memorable, and delicious-looking packaging design concept for The Nail Bakery, translating from their brand DNA as a dessert-concept nail salon. Applying elements of well-loved baked treats and flavours to all of their packaging, we aimed to create a customer experience that feels just like being treated to something sweet, colourful, and just a little bit indulgent.

Taking cues from classic bakery treats, colours, and flavours, our distinctive design concept for The Nail Bakery allowed them to stand out in a competitive and repetitive market. From red velvet cake to bubble milk tea, iconic sweet treats and desserts became the basis of the unique names created for the brand’s range of nail polish shades. These names are printed on sticker labels on each individual pot accompanied by playful, modern graphic icons. The labels also serve functionally as seals to ensure full customer peace of mind.

The Nail Bakery’s wide range of packaging formats gave us a lot of opportunity to play with the brand’s key design concept. Bundles of colour-coordinated nail polishes were each given their own unique name and illustrations to narrate a particular sweet-tooth experience. The gift sets were also designed to mimic the familiar look of take-home boxes of baked goods. Keeping distinctive and consistent design features active on the packaging materials allows the brand to be immediately recognisable, share-worthy, and always remembered – just like our favourite sweet treats.
