What does a Creative Content Strategist do at Header House?
As a Creative Content Strategist, you are the person who makes content worth watching. You work within the creative frameworks set by the Senior team — planning, briefing, and feeding the team with fresh ideas, trend references, and sharp hooks. This isn't a data role. It's a creative thinking role with a strategic backbone. You understand what makes people stop scrolling, why certain formats take off, and how to translate that instinct into content that works for real brands.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Ideation & Trend Research
- Monitor content trends, viral formats, and competitor content across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube on an ongoing basis.
- Present weekly trend and reference reports to the creative team to inspire and inform upcoming campaigns.
- Translate trends into platform-specific content ideas that fit the brand's voice and direction.
Content Planning & Management
- Manage content calendars and editorial plans within the strategic framework set by Senior.
- Develop content briefs that give the creative and production team clear direction — concept, hook, format, platform, and tone.
- Collaborate closely with Creative Designers, Video Editors, and Client Service to ensure all content is aligned with the campaign direction.
Hook & Format Development
- Develop visual and verbal hooks for each piece of content — the opening 3 seconds that make or break performance.
- Propose content formats suited to each platform and audience behaviour, not just repurposing one idea across all channels.
- Work with the Senior to refine and pressure-test content concepts before production begins.
What do we want to see?
Skills & Capabilities
- A strong creative instinct — with examples of content you spotted, pitched, or planned that actually got traction.
- Sharp understanding of what makes content stop the scroll: hooks, pacing, format, and platform behaviour.
- Ability to write clear, inspiring content briefs that don't need a follow-up meeting to explain.
- A team player who communicates proactively and brings energy to creative sessions.
- Organised enough to manage multiple content plans without dropping the ball.
Qualifications — Must Have
- 2+ years of experience in content creation, content strategy, creative planning, or a related role — agency experience preferred.
- A portfolio or work samples showing content that people actually wanted to watch, share, or engage with.
- Hands-on familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube as both a creator/planner and an audience member.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
