What does a Brand & Packaging Designer do at Un-titled Lab?
As a Brand & Packaging Designer at Un-titled Lab, you will be a crucial member of our Design team, participating in and leading various design projects from concept to completion. Your primary focus will be on crafting exceptional brand experiences through compelling identity design and innovative packaging solutions. You will be responsible for translating brand strategy into tangible visual assets, with a strong emphasis on the structural and aesthetic design of packaging. Working collaboratively with our leadership, multidisciplinary colleagues, external partners, and clients, you will design and deliver high-quality, distinctive, and memorable brand and packaging solutions that resonate with target audiences and uphold Un-titled Lab's high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Branding & Design Strategy
- Identify opportunities and address challenges to inform and enhance stunning design strategies, integrating them seamlessly into the creative process.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to align visual brand elements, including packaging, with overall brand strategy and client briefs; ensuring alignment with a brand's core values, mission, target audience, strategic positioning, and messaging.
- Translate brand strategy into compelling visual storytelling and shape innovative concepts using creative and strategic thinking, specifically considering how brand identity extends to packaging.
- Design Development & Packaging Innovation
- Conceptualize and develop unique visual brand identities, including logos, color schemes, typography, and comprehensive brand guidelines.
- Design and develop innovative packaging solutions, considering structural integrity, material selection, sustainability, user experience, and visual appeal.
- Utilize various techniques to create drafts, 2D mock-ups, 3D models, and prototypes for both brand assets and packaging designs.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to apply industry-standard design principles and deliver distinctive, memorable, simple, and appropriate designs across all brand touchpoints, with a keen eye on packaging execution.
- High-Quality Design & Brand Experience Delivery
- Actively seek and incorporate feedback to refine skills and designs, ensuring brand consistency and excellence throughout all projects, especially in packaging.
- Design a wide range of brand assets with expertise and technical knowledge, including illustrations, brand identity systems, print collateral, website elements, and critically, various forms of packaging.
- Maintain rigorous brand consistency across all design deliverables and platforms, ensuring only the highest quality work is delivered to the client and that packaging effectively communicates the brand.

- Not afraid to get your hands dirty, including creating physical mock-ups and prototypes for packaging.
- Able to give and receive constructive criticism effectively.
- Having a strong interest in design, branding, and a particular obsession with good packaging design.
- Understanding of packaging production processes, materials, and printing techniques.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Communication Design, Branding, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Brand Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both brand identity design and packaging design.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, visual hierarchy, and their application to both 2D and 3D brand expressions.
- Design thinking and the ability to translate brand values into captivating visual designs and functional packaging solutions.
- Proficiency with design skills, including layouts, identity systems, graphic illustration, typography, print design, and comprehensive packaging design.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design tools, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and ideally 3D rendering software (e.g., Blender ) for packaging visualization.
