What does a Senior Brand Strategist do at Un-titled Lab?

As part of our Strategy team, you will play a vital role in conducting research, analysis, and synthesis to drive our client’s brand strategies forward. Your primary focus will be on examining brands, customers, and the market to uncover valuable insights, identify challenges, and seize opportunities. Using this knowledge, you will craft comprehensive brand strategies and create captivating big ideas that establish a unique position, set them apart from competitors, and effectively engage their target customers for the long term.

  1. Insights and Analysis
    • Identify strengths and weaknesses of client’s brand.
    • Identify insights, challenges and opportunities by creating competitive reviews and situational analyses on trends, market, competitors and target customers.
    • Apply relevant analytical tools and methodologies to offer actionable insights.
  1. Develop Brand Strategy
    • Take complex and sometimes disparate information and thread together simple, clear, impactful themes and big ideas to create differentiated brand strategies and emotive stories apart from competitors.
    • Develop and reshape Brand DNA based on insights to clarify the brand’s purpose, vision, mission, values and positioning.
    • Make sure the project is in alignment with the business goals and the brand objectives at all times.
  2. Creative Brand Message
    • Deliver business, category, and competitive insights to increase the team’s knowledge.
    • Craft compelling brand message, brand stories, and unique selling points that differentiation.
    • Create guidelines that define brand personalities, tone of voice,  culture and etc. for both online and offline.
  3. Brand Development
    • Develop communication and marketing strategies under the brand strategy; weave together insights and recommendations into a clear, actionable plan for our clients.
    • Plan data measurement against customer business goals.
    • Efficiently analyse data and make recommendations for brand/product/experience improvements/refinements.
    • Lead ideation and brainstorming sessions.
  4. Leadership
    • Take a leadership role in client meetings (as it relates to strategy, delivery of the strategy, and big brand questions).
    • Organise, manage, facilitate, and follow up workshops for clients.
    • Be the guide (not the hero) in workshops—focus on helping the participants give their best insights and perspectives.
    • Design, compose presentations, and deliver passionate presentations to help synthesise business problems into actionable steps. This can include insights about consumers, culture, brands, and their competition.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest consumer research, market trends, as well as, tools and methodologies in the industry.
  • Leading ideation and brainstorming sessions.
  • Work flexibly and efficiently to fluidly adapt your approach to fit the project and team needs and constraints.
  • Support Un-titled Lab’s business development activities.
  • Translate strategic discoveries into creative briefs, and be actively involved in briefing creative teams; steer work / facilitate brainstorms to ensure creative aligns to strategy.
  • Observe current workshop structure in motion and make suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Brand Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in brand strategy development, market analysis, and customer insights.
  • Proficiency with verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard research tools, methodologies, and platforms.
  • A passion for branding and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience as a brand strategist, brand manager, or similar role.
  • Experience leading client meetings.
  • Knowledge of online facilitation tools that enhance the virtual workshop experience—we currently use Google Workspace, Zoom, and Mural.
