SENIOR CREATIVE CONTENT STRATEGIST

What does a Senior Creative Content Strategist do at Header House?

As a Senior Creative Content Strategist, you own the creative direction of content campaigns from start to finish. You lead ideation, write the briefs, present strategy to clients, and make sure the work that goes out is worth watching. You also read performance data — not to chase numbers, but to understand what's working creatively and sharpen your instincts for the next campaign. You are the strategic and creative anchor that the Jr./Mid team looks to for direction, and the person clients trust to understand what their brand needs to say and how.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Ideation

  • Lead campaign ideation sessions — setting the creative direction, challenging weak ideas, and pushing the team toward work that's genuinely distinctive.
  • Define content concepts, hooks, formats, and storytelling approach for each campaign.
  • Develop and evolve content pillars and messaging frameworks that give the creative team a clear territory to work within.

Creative Brief Development

  • Write sharp, complete content briefs that give designers, video editors, and writers everything they need to produce without back-and-forth.
  • Translate client business objectives into creative direction — not just strategy decks, but actual ideas.
  • Review and give creative feedback on content before it goes to client or production.

Client Communication & Strategy

  • Present content strategy and campaign concepts directly to clients with clarity and confidence.
  • Build trust with clients by understanding their brand deeply and anticipating their needs.
  • Manage content strategy scope within projects, flagging changes or additions proactively.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Track and analyse campaign performance across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
  • Produce campaign performance reports with creative recommendations — not just what the numbers say, but what they mean for the next piece of work.
  • Run optimisation loops based on performance signals and feed insights back into the creative process.

Team Development

  • Coach and support Jr./Mid Creative Content Strategists — review their briefs, give direction on ideation, and help them develop their creative judgment.
  • Build content playbooks and frameworks that make the team more consistent and scalable over time.

What do we want to see?

Skills & Capabilities

  • Excellent brief-writing skills — clear, inspiring, and execution-ready.
  • Confident presenter who can walk clients through creative strategy without over-explaining.
  • Comfortable with performance data as a creative tool, not a reporting obligation.
  • Natural mentor — someone who makes the people around them better.

  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy, creative planning, or a related role — agency experience strongly preferred.
  • A portfolio demonstrating creative direction and content that gained real traction across platforms.
